WILK Friday BeerBuzz–11 Feb 2011 Troegs Nugget Nectar w/Chris Trogner

WILKFridayBerbuzz7Over the course of 42+ Friday BeerBuzz shows, we’ve sampled a record four Troegs Brewery beers.  From our very first show when we sampled Hopback Amber, to our Scratch # 29 Special and our Mad Elf Holiday Spectacular, we’ve all really enjoyed the brews from our local Harrisburg brewery.  Today we were very excited to not only sample Nugget Nectar (one of my all-time favorite beers), but also to have Chris Trogner on the show to sample it with us.

imageChris is one of two brothers, that founded Troegs and brewed their beers, so he had some really great info on the past, present and even the future of Troegs Brewery.  Chris was nice enough to not only fill us in on the details of Nugget Nectar, but also chat to us about the new Troegs Hershey facility, the future of the Paxton St facility, and some upcoming Scratch & Splinter brews.  Stay tuned for Scratch # 41 (chocolate stout similar to #27) coming out TODAY and Scratch #42 (an abbey ale w/Chocolate nibs) coming soon!  A great guest and a great beer!…who could want any more.

imageNugget Nectar is a rare and wonderful seasonal brew, so get out there and try some before it’s all gone.

Thanks

to  Chris, John, Nancy, Joe, Deuane & Bosco for yet another fun Friday.
